I clearly remember the time I met Eric Henderson in Amsterdam somewhere around 1980. A highly gifted guitarist from Laguna Beach, who - at the age of 13 - studied in Spain with Andres Segovia. His appearance typical Californian and one would expect a surfboard rather than a guitar in his arms. I attended many of his Dutch concerts and was amazed by both his sound (on the early Jeronimo Pena guitar), his technique and repertoire. Unfortunately after a couple of years we lost contact.
