L'ordre chronologique est nécessaire, mais il montre le déclin progressif du groupe (après Guitar Tango ou Geronimo, il n'y a pratiquement plus rien d'épique). Néanmoins, posséder un disque des Shadows est indispensable pour avoir une idée du paysage sonore anglais avant les grands groupes sixties, Beatles et Rolling Stones en tête.
